    Job Description

    Summer 2023 Internship Program:

    • TIME COMMITMENT: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.

    Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

    • Category Management
      • Opportunities in both Lifestyle and Home & Seasonal,
      • Gain visibility to how the team executes key initiatives within the licensing and retail landscape, helping to identify new areas of opportunity
      • Research marketplace trends & present findings
      • Reporting – retail store visits during key seasons, recap findings in presentation with images and pertinent information
      • Identify white space opportunities to go after
      • Identify how we can maximize CP opportunities within the digital space
    • Toys Design
      • Comfortable working with different teams on various products, such as: toys, plush, seasonal, novelties, and outdoor products
      • Engage in brainstorm sessions to produce meaningful ideas that could potentially be used for product development
      • Strong hand in sketching as well as adapting to new styles
    • Retail Development
      • Support the Retail Development and Marketing teams on their execution of retail strategy and marketing plans to cultivate brand growth and drive revenue throughout retail
      • Support retail marketing and sales efforts across Universal Products & Experiences - all with the goal of building brand equity, driving consumer engagement and product revenue
      • Produce recaps and maintain records of promotional events and cross-company campaigns for NBCUniversal, Universal Pictures and Universal Parks
    • Publishing
      • Participate in layout design for publishing / stationery style guides
      • Help with presentation designs
      • Assist in book cover and interior layout approvals for our global licensees
      • Design cover templates
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program
    • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA

     

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

    • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
    • Organized and proactive
    • Friendly personality w/ ability to build relationships at all levels
    • Digitally savvy
    • Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office as well as Keynote 
    • Proficient artwork skills across various mediums
    • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality

    Salary: $16.50 per hour
