    NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management, from sales enablement to sales operations, from product marketing to strategic communications, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal’s $10B+ annual advertising business.     The Position
    The AP&O (Ad Platforms & Operations) Business Intelligence team leverages data to empower our business customers with actionable insights that drive business performance and fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to quickly provide insights, in a scalable and supportable fashion, to business customers across Sales, Platform Monetization, Operations, Finance, Strategy, Measurement & Impact, and our own AP&O ad product teams.

    Responsibilities
    The person in this role will:

    • Help build and maintain prototype data solutions to quickly enable business customers with actionable insights
    • Partner closely with our BI (Business Intelligence) product teams to ensure prototype data solutions can be formally managed through our product development lifecycle
    • Pull, organize, and analyze relevant data from multiple sources, using tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau, and programming languages such as SQL and Python
    • Answer inbound questions using various analytic techniques across all levels of the organization
    • Build and cultivate professional relationships with business customers to understand their information-based needs and priorities
    • Leverage analytics toolkit to build predictive and prescriptive advanced analytics models to answer business questions
    • Collaborate with “satellite” analytics teams across the organization to ensure accuracy and consistency in all business intelligence and analytics use cases
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BA or BS in a quantitative field (Business, Math/Statistics, Economics, CS, Engineering, or similar), or equivalent experience
    • 1+ years of experience in a business intelligence and/or data analytics role
    • Intermediate proficiency in SQL (E.g. very strong data manipulation skills, deep understanding of how joins affect returned data, CTE’s, subqueries, window functions)
    • Proficiency in business intelligence / analytics tools, such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Looker, R, Python, Dataiku, etc.
    • Strong understanding of data and data management concepts
    • Excellent documentation and presentation skills
    • Possess a curious and analytical mindset
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment

    Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
