    Job Description

    NBC & Telemundo Connecticut are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to work with the Sales Marketing Manager and the Sales team to deliver multiplatform marketing solutions that drive advertising revenue for the stations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop customized marketing materials for new sales opportunities
    • Gather competitive research and advertiser media spending
    • Support the sales team with marketing pieces containing research, upcoming initiatives and events.
    • Work with sellers to obtain media proposals
    • Compile, draft and edit marketing plan documents and adapt to a variety of formats for different audiences
    • Support the development of sales marketing strategy and cutting-edge multiplatform marketing solutions that drive advertising revenue for NBC Connecticut & Telemundo Connecticut and the Owned Stations
    • Generate ideas that could lead to new sources of revenue – stay on top of current events, trends, and competitive efforts to identify innovative revenue streams
    • Work with a cross-functional team to track and execute marketing initiatives. Execute on those strategies by coordinating with the various departments responsible for deliverables: finance to purchase contesting prizes, web to launch online campaigns, promotions to advertise, etc.
    • Coordinate the commercial production and lifestyle show workflows that include gathering elements from sales reps, scheduling projects, overseeing edits and attending shoots as needed to ultimately get products on-air in a timely fashion
    • Spearhead every aspect of social media contesting: writing and confirming rules & regulations with legal, submitting production requests for creative, reconciling winners, and recapping campaign success
    • Ensure customer satisfaction in pre- and post-sales service. Monitor the execution of campaigns to ensure communication between sales production and client is easy and effective to solidify renewal
    • Work with clients and agencies (in partnership with Sales) to help address client needs and explore business options
    • Help coordinate marketing and community activities by tracking event dates, identifying resources necessary for events (marketing collateral, promotional giveaways, news coverage, volunteers) and assisting in on-site execution as needed
    • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the West Hartford office a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 1 year of experience in promotion, advertising, marketing, or other related creative field
    • Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
    • Must be willing to work at the location in West Hartford, CT.
    • Should be able to work flexible hours (including weekends)
    • Organizational skills - must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Must be 18 years or older and have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
    • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bilingual skills – Spanish/English
    • Extremely strong writing and deck creation skills
    • Previous professional experience in television production, ad sales or marketing
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
    • 3-5 years marketing and/or advertising experience, preferably at an agency, or in an entertainment industry, broadcast or cable television environment
    • Knowledge of entertainment brand marketing and advertising
    • Social media planning and marketing experience
    • Proactive planning and solid project management skills
    • Strong attention to detail in a high-volume environment that requires extensive multi-tasking and multiple deadlines
    • Familiarity with consumer research, Nielsen/ComScore data, etc.
    • Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and collaborate in a creative, team-oriented environment
    • Familiarity with broadcast and/or digital sales systems
    • Graphic design experience with proficiency in Photoshop (Final Cut Pro)
