    Job Description

    Summer 2024 Internship Program:

    • Program Dates: June 3 – August 9, 2024
    • Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
    • Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Universal City, CA 3-5 days per week.

    Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

    • Operations & Technology, Broadcast Operations (Virtual Stage Production): Operations and Technology Group overseas the Broadcast and Virtual stages at 10UCP in Universal City. The position would gain hands-on experience with the latest in Film/TV production equipment and technology. As the intern, you’ll be assisting with technical support for Universal film/tv productions that utilize the virtual stage and assist with any internal or promotional demos or daily stage operations and testing of new technology and software implementations.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program.
    • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
    • Working knowledge of Unreal Engine game development software.
    • Previous VFX experience in areas that include: keyframing, lighting, plugins, and various 3D modeling file formats.
    • Video production knowledge with hands on experience with studio/cinema cameras and professional on set etiquette.

    The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $23.00
