MSNBC is looking for a Digital Associate Producer to assist with our Reports content.

This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

** Responsibilities:**

• Identify, produce and edit news content for all social media platforms, as well as linear TV.
• Produce and edit short news videos for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube shorts
• Produce photo-driven news explainers for Instagram
• Produce breaking news on all social media platforms
• Identify on air segments and interviews that fit YouTube strategy
• Manage MSNBC Reports social media accounts daily to ensure value for followers
• Partner and collaborate with show producers on daily editorial content for platforms
• Elevate the creative look and feel of content across social platforms
• Grow audience engagement and interaction on all platforms
• Innovate and propose new ways to extend the brand on social media
• Comply with the Standards and Practices of NBC News

Qualifications

** Basic Qualifications:**

• Minimum 3 years in social media news production
• Strong writing skills and knowledge of American politics, American history and global news
• Strong news and editorial judgment
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and all social in-app editing tools
• Deep knowledge of all social media platforms and how to produce for them
• Deep knowledge of YouTube production
• Experience in creating breaking news content on social media platforms
• Ability to work well both independently (must be a self-starter) and collaboratively as part of an integrated team
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
