    Job Description

    ROLE SUMMARY:

Established by Universal Filmed Entertainment Chairman, Donna Langley, Global Talent Development and Inclusion (GTDI) is at the forefront of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and DreamWorks Animation’s work culture and content creation, both in front of and behind the camera through the creation and implementation of business strategies, talent experiences, and partnerships.

    In this role, you will act as a seamless extension of the EVP, Inclusion – Talent & Content, and Sr. Director, Project Management & Strategic Analytics, ensuring that GTDI’s vision is executed at the highest standards.

    This role requires attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple critical requests across global operations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, composure, and a good sense of humor.

    The individual in this role must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company is critical. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the whole picture. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE EVP

    1. Management of complex schedules (including travel) and coordinating a high volume of meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring that the EVP is prepared and on time for all scheduled commitments. 

    2. Organize, execute, and assist with team activities and industry events (e.g., prep materials, meeting agendas, logistics, post-mortem minutes, etc.).

    3. Support and foster the flow of information between GTDI’s EVP and its three teams (Creative Talent and Content, Production Talent and Partnerships, and Communications and Marketing).

    4. Proactively keeping abreast of industry developments/trends and company news as it relates to Film, flagging top-line developments for the executives.

    5. Must be able to attend external events, work extended weekday hours, and on weekends as needed.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE SR. DIRECTOR

    1. Management of schedule and proactively scheduling meetings between the Sr. Director and project stakeholders.

    2. Providing structure and maintenance of departments’ recordkeeping and filing system.

    3. Ability to adapt, learn, and implement new processes, procedures, software and systems in order to drive departmental efficiencies and GTDI’s support to the greater film group.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ years of experience assisting at the executive level or equivalent in the capacity listed above
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and OneNote) and FileMaker
    • Knowledge of and general interest in the film business, and fostering our mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion
