NBC & Telemundo Connecticut Internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC & Telemundo Connecticut are paid and do not require course credit.
Pay rate is minimum wage.
Responsibilities:
Provide graphic design support using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or After Effects
Fill production assistant role on commercial and news promotion shoots
Market the stations by occasionally working in the community booths at a variety of sponsored walks and festivals
Qualifications
Experience in graphic design using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or After Effects
Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro is desirable
Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
IN-PERSON/HYBRID Must be willing to work at the station in West Hartford, CT
Desired Characteristics:
Detailed oriented by nature
Strong understanding of graphic design.
Knowledge of animation, 3D and/or photography will be considered.
Comfortable working on multiple projects at the same time
Ability to find creative solutions to projects
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
Responsible, punctual, creative, and professional
