    Job Description

    The On-Air Clearance Scheduling Specialist schedules program clearances for NBC’s Owned and Affiliated stations, while coordinating between multiple NBCU cross-departments, including the On-Air Operations, Affiliate Relations, Content Operations, and Research teams.

    Primary responsibilities will include Maintaining relationships with the owned and affiliate stations to make sure all daily, weekly, and quarterly clearances are aligned and cleared for air. An individual in this role will serve as the client services liaison between affiliate relations, Content Ops, and Research addressing and reviewing station one-off and order requests for variety of changes and will be primary point of contact and client success manager for over 200 stations.

    ** Essential Functions:**

    • Schedule program clearances and continuously update program changes, conflicts, etc. including live events (Sports, SNL, Political Events, Olympics, etc.) using NBCUniversal’s proprietary WebScheduler scheduling system.
    • Daily use of NBC Proprietary clearance communication tools to prepare, send and organize all orders, and one-off requests, to 200+ owned and affiliate stations.
    • Provide a white-glove & advisory client service experience to 200+ stations, acting as a clearance advisor and strategist
    • De-escalating & problem solving in a client facing capacity to resolve concerns, including technical questions, and/or escalating to the proper team.
    • Prepare and review various reports upon request from cross functional partners
    • Prepare and adjust new show replacements of programs, upcoming network specials, and seasonal changes.
    • Continuously review and have current knowledge of all NBC programming and updates via APT site per Content Ops.
    • Work with Product team to review all NBC software and provide feedback to improve operation systems as necessary
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Required Skills/Experience**

    • Associate Degree in Media, Communications or related field or equivalent relevant professional experience
    • Minimum 2 years experience in a 24/7 broadcast operation working with traffic or on-air systems
    • Minimum 2 years experience building and maintaining relationships with stations or outside clients
    • Strong computer skills required, especially Microsoft Office products including, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
    • Ability to learn new software programs
    • Strong client service and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced, high-pressure, team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented

    ** Additional Requirements:**

    • Must be willing to work in Centennial, CO. Onsite in a hybrid model (3-days a week).
    • Willingness and open availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the 24/7 operational needs.
