Job Description

What you'll do:

At CNBC, Booking Producers work within a show unit to pitch ideas as well as book guests for a live show.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

• Find and book compelling guests for the show, following booking protocols.
• Maintain planning editorial calendar with important upcoming news events and book relevant guests in advance
• Book guests for breaking news events (this may include early morning or after-hours outreach)
• Implement work with guidance from Senior and Executive Producer.
• Conduct pre-interviews of guests and identify key headlines for segment
• Handle any necessary travel logistics for guests
• Coordinate with guests and companies to secure guest headshots
• Establish, develop and maintain good relationships with financial and business news sources.
• Work with anchors on confirming their bookings and coordinating logistics
• Book control room and edit time for pre-recorded guest segments

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience booking and producing in a live television environment with demonstrated booking ability/contacts, research skills and communication skills
• Experience communicating with high-profile guests in sensitive news situations
