    Job Description

    _ Role Purpose_

    The Manager, Brand Protection Intellectual Property will be responsible for supporting the intellectual property team in developing strategies to protect NBCU’s vast portfolio of brands, with an emphasis on IP portfolio enforcement and infringement defense.

    _ Job Duties_

    • Develop and implement brand protection strategies to identify instances of brand misuse, counterfeits, and other infringements
    • Support and coordinate intellectual property enforcement-related actions within the team, and work with business partners around the globe on matters including anti-counterfeiting, trademark oppositions, cease and desist letters, and customs seizures
    • Perform e-commerce platform and social media takedowns, as well as respond to DMCA complaints
    • Assist with domain name strategy and enforcement, including UDRP proceedings
    • Compose and deliver presentations and brand protection training to customs officers, law enforcement, employees, and other stakeholders
    • Research global markets and marketplaces to identify risks to NBCU’s brands
    • Coordinate investigations and communicate effectively with outside counsel, law enforcement, business personnel, and business partners regarding intellectual property issues and inquiries
    • Create records and reports that highlight key enforcement data and patterns to senior management on a regular basis
    • Attend events and trainings to represent NBCU, develop new contacts, and collaborate with other brands
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Basic Requirements_

    • 1-5 years of brand protection experience
    • Knowledge of trademark and copyright laws and regulations
    • Strong computer skills, including proven experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    _ Desired Characteristics_

    • Experience in entertainment industry preferred
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines
    • Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    _ Additional Requirements_

    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
    • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
    • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
