    Job Description

    NBCUniversal’s Technical Operations (Tech Ops) team is seeking a Program Specialist who will be instrumental in managing key relationships while assisting with technology programs for the Program Management team within the Tech Ops PMO. The wide range of services provided by Tech Ops includes delivery of critical film and television assets and distribution of on-demand content and live streaming events to the web and mobile devices for Peacock and other video experiences. Our systems and services are used by organizations throughout NBCUniversal including Peacock, NBC News, NBC Entertainment, Entertainment & Lifestyle Brands, and NBC Sports.

    Job Duties:

    • Support Program Management team in day-to-day efforts that require additional backing
    • Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to, organizing and facilitating meetings, scheduling meeting space, updating wiki pages, and responding to emails and messages promptly
    • Maintain detailed project documentation
    • Help manage multiple competing projects
    • Proactively assist with team needs and provide seamless support when needed
    • Monitor project progress and all outstanding project concerns, including but not limited to, tracking Jira tickets, timelines, and issues and risks lists and communicate updates to colleagues and management
    • Keep detailed records of all work completed and outstanding
    • Provide support for (PI) Planning sessions on a quarterly basis
    • Follow internal protocol and provide ideas/ways to improve process
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in media technology or communication and/or 2-3+ years of equivalent professional experience in project and/or technical account management
    • Strong organizational, professional and communication skills
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with programs or projects
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with interacting with all levels of management and stakeholders; must be able to articulate technical concepts and solutions to both a deeply technical and non-technical audience
    • Solid organizational skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment
    • Must have client services & PowerPoint presentation creation experience
    • Proficiency with all Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, and Excel applications. Experience with the Atlassian suite of products a plus
    • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision

    Desired Characteristics

    • Experience in US Media & News environment highly preferred
    • Exceptional technical, analytical, organizational, research, and presentation skills
    • Ability to present information in face-to-face presentations to varied audiences, including executive management
    • Strong team-building, vendor, and customer relations skills
    • Be analytical and process-oriented and able to apply structure to complex problems
    • Attention to details - extremely organized with an eye for prioritization, efficiency & optimization
    • Strong written & verbal communication skills
    • Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting techniques and problem solve with minimal direction
    • Knowledge of task management tools (Jira or similar)
    • Work independently and well with others

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week at either Universal City, CA or Englewood Cliffs, NJ. A van service is available for employees commuting from New York City to New Jersey.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
