    ** What You Will Do :**

    The Guidehouse Team supports the OSE Data Governance Division by performing data quality, data metrics, data sharing, data governance, and data analysis initiatives as well as configuring and performing operations & maintenance on a COTS data governance tool. Due to the large, matrixed, and dynamic nature of the program, the Guidehouse Team often plays a critical role in a number of cross-functional projects, initiatives, and taskings.

    As a Data Analyst on the team, data analysts perform important functions in helping federal clients with a variety of data analysis initiatives and objectives to ultimately improve data governance overall. Examples include:

    • Supporting the OSE Chief Data Officer on data metrics and data quality initiatives and preparing materials for presentation to senior leadership and to external oversight entities.
    • Conducting both cyclical and ad-hoc analyses of data for timely response to internal and external inquiries using tools such as Splunk and Tableau.

    Identifying, designing, and implementing improved processes that transform the data governance function and provide lasting change that positively improves data governance processes and transparency across an array of stakeholders

    ** What You Will Need :**

    • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Full Scope/Lifestyle (FS) polygraph
    • Minimum Experience: 5 Years
    • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

    ** What Would Be Nice To Have :**

    • Experience working with data to analyze and provide recommendations based on customer requirements.
    • Experience with using Tableau, Splunk, or other data visualization software to communicate key insights and metrics based on customer requirements.
    • Experience working with datasets to validate and clean data ensuring quality and integrity as well as working with key external stakeholders based on impacted systems.
    • Flexibility, agility, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as to work independently.
    • Excellent problem-solver, self-starter, and communicator; experience with developing and delivering presentations, white papers, and strategic documentation based on customer requirements.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to building relations with and communicate across all levels of staff and leadership, along with a variety of internal and external stakeholders groups.
    • Experience providing data governance recommendations and improvements based on client needs.
    • Ability to incorporate feedback from various leadership and technical teams; experience fostering collaborative communication and project development.

    The qualified candidate will have both the attitude and the experience to successfully fill this role, including:

    • Detail oriented: The successful Data Analyst audits large quantities of data and identifies potential issues.

    • Technically skilled: This person has a working knowledge of relational databases. They are comfortable in MySQL and able to pick up new concepts quickly. *Preferred but not required.

    • Collaborator: The Data Analyst works well in a team environment. They lean on fellow employees and internal resources to assist them with their duties.

    • Accountable: This person takes responsibility for each task that they work on. They are invested in the data and claim responsibility for the outcome.

    • Adept Communicator: Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical team members and keeps clear and concise notes.

    • Committed to quality with a strong desire to meet and exceed expectations through attention to detail, technical knowledge, and willingness to trouble shoot and support the other team members.

    • Comfortable in a hard-working, fast paced, team environment with the ability to have fun and get the job done.

    Experience and Skills:

    The candidate should possess a well-rounded background, which may have been acquired through prior job experience, coursework, or personal projects, with as many of the specific qualifications as possible:

    • Experience working with several different types of file formats.

    • Experience working as part of a strong team.

    • Experience with relational databases preferred but not required.

    • Experience using regular expressions to manipulate data a plus.

    • Great problem-solving skills.

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
