    Job Description

    The Spring/Summer intern will support the Facility Maintenance & Construction team in clarifying and summarizing existing process flows and documenting them for internal client partners as well as newly hired internal department staff. Duties will include developing process flow maps and an overall process handbook for the department. File renaming convention and unified processes across the department will also be implemented.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Process summarization and presentation
      • Create clear, easy to follow, client-facing diagrams and charts that explain department workflow processes that other lines of business need to use to request work
      • Create “manual” for new FMC managers with process overview and more detailed breakdowns of the “how” for training purposes and clarity within group
      • Assist team with any smartsheet/excel clean up to ensure consistency across the platforms on process
    • FMC File Management
      • Create streamlined file management system (OneDrive, explore SharePoint)
      • Combined common use files/system/forms required for day to day operations
      • Create standardized file naming/filing conventions
      • Update all paperwork to be consistent across departments
      • Explore efficiencies in current practices
    • Departmental updates
      • Update org charts, groups, etc. for client-facing purposes

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three-four days per week. Salary range: $18-$25/hour

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or like major
    • Proven experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project Management methodology.
