    Job Description

    The Vice President of Internal Communications will lead strategy, development and implementation of employee-focused communications for teams across NBCUniversal's Television & Streaming Entertainment and Direct to Consumer portfolio, which includes broadcast network NBC, six cable channels (Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, Universal Kids and USA Network) and streamer Peacock.

    Reporting to the EVP, Communications, Television & Streaming, the person in this role will be a key member of the communications team with the charge of bringing our culture to life as an internal advocate and ambassador for our brands, shows and teams. This person will lead a bicoastal team responsible for delivering initiatives that help create pride within our organization, connect the various teams across the division with a unified purpose, and help drive the overall Television & Streaming communications strategy. The ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated self-starter with incredible attention to detail, a team-focused attitude, and a solutions-oriented approach.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • In close coordination with the EVP, Communications, Television & Streaming, oversee programs and platforms that work to ensure employees are equipped with the information, resources and excitement they need to fuel excellence and pride in their jobs
    • Manage a team of internal communicators focused on developing a holistic strategy and cadence for employee engagement including employee screenings and experiences, brand and content advocacy, as well as partner on employee diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives
    • Oversee the strategy for and execution of key events and tactics, including leadership updates, town halls, special programming, newsletters, SharePoint site, and more as the Internal Communications function continues to expand
    • Identify opportunities to create synergy across the divisions and broader company through HR, marketing, publicity and symphony
    • Partner with NBCUniversal Corporate Communications to highlight Television & Streaming through key internal channels
    • Continue to grow the internal comms function, bringing new ideas, strategies, and processes to the table
    • Throughout NBCU, form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

    SALARY RANGE: $190,000 - $235,000 (BONUS AND LONG-TERM INCENTIVE ELIGIBLE)

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications: 

    • Minimum 10 years of Corporate Communications or employee communications, including experience working within a matrixed corporate environment

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Proven track record developing and delivering innovative internal communications strategies with a focus on optimizing employee experience
    • Demonstrated interest and background in media & entertainment and/or technology industries
    • Track record of success managing and motivating teams across locations
    • Excellent presentation skills and experience with C-suite executives
    • Ability to collaborate across teams and varying priorities to maintain alignment on vision, strategy, and performance to goals; demonstrated capability in conflict resolution with tact and diplomacy
    • Demonstrate a propensity for innovative thinking and entrepreneurial attitude while being respectful of business dynamics
