    Job Summary:

We are seeking a contract-based NBHWC-Certified Instructor to provide instructional consultation for the development and future delivery of our health and wellness coaching certification program. Initially, the role will focus on collaborating with our team to design, develop, and enhance the program's curriculum to meet National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) standards. Once the course is finalized and launched in 2025, the instructor may transition to delivering high-quality educational content, ensuring the program meets both instructional hour and content requirements. The role averages approximately 20 hours per week and will evolve as the program moves from development to instruction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the program team to design and enhance the coaching curriculum, ensuring alignment with NBHWC best practices and industry standards.
    • Training Development : Create training programs and materials for coaches to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver coaching in line with NBHWC standards.
    • Quality Control: Regularly assess and improve the quality of instruction, training materials, and the overall learning experience.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of instructional sessions, student progress, and curriculum updates. Provide reports on student outcomes and the effectiveness of the training programs.
    • Instructional Delivery: Lead training programs that prepare coaches to meet NBHWC standards.
    • Collaboration: Partner with other collaborators to create the best in class certification available.

    Qualifications:

    • Certified National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) required.
    • At least 200 hours of health and wellness coaching experience.
    • A master's degree in a health and wellness-related field.
    • Strong understanding and adherence of NBHWC Health and Wellness Scope of practice and Code of Ethics.
    • Proven ability to deliver educational content virtually.
    • Experience with learning management systems like Thinkific, LearnWorlds or similar platforms.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Previous experience developing health and wellness coaching curriculum.
    • Background in areas like behavioral health, stress management, nutrition, or physical activity.

    Contract Details:

    • Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
    • Hours: Average of 20 hours per week
    • Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and instructional hours delivered.
    • Duration: Initial contract of 6 months, with potential for renewal based on performance and program needs.
