    Job Description

    NCBA CLUSA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Marketing Volunteer to support cooperatives in future assignments. The Marketing Volunteer will provide guidance to cooperatives hoping to gain access to broad markets, increase their sales and boost awareness of their  brand, products and services.  The volunteer will develop a marketing plan to increase the cooperatives’ visibility in the coffee sector and possibly design a logo for marketing of the cooperative’s products.  Brand awareness via social media, advertising, etc. are vital to the sustainability of these cooperatives.     

    Location: Multiple locations, to include Peru and Ecuador

    Duration: 2- 4 weeks

    ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Collaborate with coop members to develop a branding and marketing strategy to access new markets
    • Train the  co-op’s members (leaders) and staff how to use the branding strategy to access new markets; domestic and international to achieve the co-op business goals and objectives.
    • Research, plan and execute marketing efforts based on the history and vision of the cooperative
    • Collaborate with coop members to strategically plan and execute a schedule of social media content
    • Design a logo that accurately portrays the cooperative.
    • Provide training on sales and negotiation tactics
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Degree in Business and Marketing, Communication and/or related field.
    • Experience in Branding and Marketing
    • Background in sales/negotiation tactics is desirable
    • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
    • Gender and youth strategies.
    • Advanced Spanish is a plus (However a translator will be available if needed).
    • Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
