Our client is a Top Civil GC, they're seeking a Safety Coordinator in Santa Barbara, CA.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering OR CHST Certificate.
• 3+ years of experience
• HIGHWAY, CALTRANS, OR CIVIL PROJECT EXPERIENCE.

​WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Safety Orientation Training for all new employees (Conduct and Evaluate)Developing Safety Plans for all jobs and facilities.
• Review and Update Corporate Health and Safety Plan.
• Develop, Conduct, and Maintain all Training requirements and scheduling.
• Investigate all Safety Incidents (Auto, Injury)/Claims.
• Report all Field Safety Incidents/Claims to BOD, Area managers.
• Conduct Bi-Weekly Field Audits on all projects and facilities.
• Participate in pre-construction/kick off meetings for all projects.
• Distribute and Monitor Tool Box Talks, Weekly Safety Checklist.
• Coordinate, Train, and Maintain all Air Monitoring Equipment for required operations/Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
• Schedule and Coordinate with Insurance Risk Manager
• Maintain all employee safety training certifications
• Schedule, Review and Track Medical Evaluations
• Mentor Field Personnel on safety knowledge and attitude
• Schedules and Maintain records for Respirator Fit Testing, and Fit for Duty Testing
• Coordinate with Estimating Dept. Regarding Safety Costs Associated with Operations
• Inventory control and allocations to projects
• Monitor and Oversee Subcontractor compliance
