    Neapco is seeking a detailed oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of Neapco. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Human Resources and is based at our World Headquarters & Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan.     JOB DESCRIPTION: HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Included, but are not limited to the following:

    • Participates in implementing department goals, objectives, and systems
    • Assists to establish departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals
    • Developing and maintaining of the Human Resources section of the intranet
    • Maintains employee-related databases. Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
    • Fully utilizes Human Resources software to the company's advantage
    • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-team member relationship and promote a high level of team member morale and motivation
    • Assist with recruitment process to build a qualified talent pool
    • Initiates and conducts all preboarding and onboarding activities for new team members
    • Participates in DEI & Belonging initiatives
    • Advises managers about the steps in the performance improvement process of the company
    • Assists with the implementation of company safety and health programs. Tracks and posts OSHA-required data and files reports
    • Partners with finance and payroll to maintain payroll database
    • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services. Assist team members with any claim issues
    • Schedules and conducts benefit orientation and other related benefits training
    • Participates and assists with open enrollment initiatives
    • Answers questions from team members during open enrollment
    • Partners with HR team to review and continuously improve all HR related programs
    • Administers the 401(k) plan and completes yearly compliance reporting in partnership with finance
    • Administers disability and worker's compensation claims
    • Complies with all existing governmental, legal and reporting requirements
    • Assists with the company-wide committees including wellness, training, environmental health and safety, activity, and culture committees

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
    • 3 to 5 years of benefits administration, including experience in policy administration, leave management (short term/long term disability, FMLA), benefits enrollment, vendor relations/management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of all aspects of federal and state regulations for employee benefit programs, including all aspects of ACA and HIPAA compliance
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office software
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills; with attention to detail
    • Experience working with ADP payroll and HRMS strongly preferred

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred or related experience
