    Job Description

    PRIMARY PURPOSE

    The Accounting & Payroll Assistant will work in a fast paced environment providing payroll and expense assistance to the Controller and employees. Assistance will be provided in person, by phone and on-line. The ideal candidate will perform the following functions:

    • Assist in all phases of payroll, expense reporting and payments
    • Must be able to set and meet weekly deadlines for two separate payroll runs
    • Facilitate state tax notices and information for all employees in a multi-state company
    • Train employees to use time sheet and expense reporting
    • Maintain company asset records
    • Operate a multi-line phone system

    This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, during normal business hours. The position will operate from our corporate office and the work week is flexible. The Accounting & Payroll Administrative Assistant will report to the Payroll & Human Resources Directors. Employer will provide the following:

    • An accounting degree and/or extensive related work experience
    • Extensive knowledge of Payroll & Payroll processing
    • Extensive experience in processing a multi state payroll
    • Experience using QuickBooks
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Access database
    • Ability to learn industry specific programs
