    Position Responsibilities:

    NEMR Total HR is in growth mode and has an excellent opportunity for an HRIS Manager.  This HRIS Manager will work in a high level, fast-paced shared role supporting our multi-site/state client HR partners.  This is a non-traditional multi-faceted HRIS Manager role focus on providing oversight, direction, design, configuration and support related to all software technology platforms and maintain excellent customer service with internal personnel and clients.

    Qualifications

    Any deviation from the qualifications listed below must be approved by the President of NEMR

    • Ensure all HR technology systems (i.e. HRIS, time/ Attendance, CRM, Smartsheets, etc.) are functioning and maintained in line with company business goals
    • Interfaces directly with client HR partners to meet needs
    • Coordinates all technology related vendors for the development and integration of products/services across multiple platforms
    • Performs successful client on-boarding with regards to all technology platforms
    • Responsible for the development, coordination and tracking of HRIS projects
    • Continually communicate with multiple departments for seamless flow of information
    • Identify training needs for HRIS end-users and develop training resources
    • Deliver analysis, tools and standards reporting solutions to support decision making needs both internally and for client HR partners
    • Identify process improvements, innovative solutions and system enhancements to improve business efficiency, meet and exceed client requirements, and enhance NEMR’s product portfolio
    • Provide excellent customer service and direction to internal personnel and clients
    • Able to work discretely with confidential information

    Technical skills:

    • Background in application system management
    • Knowledge of general configuration of HRIS platforms, time and attendance, physical time clocks, CRM systems, etc.
      • i.e. pay and work rules and a solid understanding of federal, state and local labor laws
    • Minimum of two (2) years providing direct and indirect supervision to others
    • Understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures to ensure correct implementation
    • Understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes and experience with database tools
    • Strong background in data integrity analytics and audits
    • Ability to manage multiple vendors, interface with clients, fellow team member and manage HRIS department

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    This position has direct supervisory responsibilities, must be able to coach and mentor and provide guidance to the HRIS department.

    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

    Travel:

    Daily business day travel may be required for this position

     

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors in Information Systems, Business Management, HR Management or related field is required
    • 5+ years of experience in a related position
    • 2+ year of verifiable experience managing HRIS and employee-related technology
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or American Payroll Association (APA) Certification is a plus
    • Prior payroll processing, payroll tax and employee benefits (including retirement plan) knowledge is ideal

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    1. Masters' degree in Information Systems or HR management preferred
    2. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is desirable
    3. Five to seven years of HRIS experience

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

    1. PMP Certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire date
    2. APA Certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire date
