MORTGAGE UNDERWRITERS (DIRECT HIRE)

• Seeking Underwriters ASAP for a remote opportunity.
• We are looking for Underwriters who are currently Underwriting front line with either:
  • Conventional and DE (FHA); or Conventional and LAPP/SAR (VA); or Conventional, VA and FHH

SALARY OVERVIEW

• $75k - $82k base for someone with 3 years’ experience and conventional only
• $82k - $90k base for a Sr. Underwriter w/ DE and/or LAPP certifications
  • Salary is dependent upon experience.

BONUSES

• Bonus loans underwritten (new submissions, re sub of expired loans)
  • $15 conv & $20 govt. for loans 1-49 for the month
  • $20 conv & $25 govt. for excess of 50

PRE-SCREEN QUESTIONS TO ASK THE UNDERWRITERS:

1. Do you have your DE and/or LAPP approvals?

2. What kinds of loans do you currently underwrite?

3. How many files do you touch a day?

a. New submissions?

b. Conditions?

4. What are the current underwriting turn times at your company? What is your company’s mandated or goal for underwriting turn times?

5. How do you underwrite – to investor guidelines or agency guidelines?

6. What investors are you currently underwriting to?

7. Can you work from home?
