Embedded; 3 days per week, 30 minute sessions, 4 hours/day
Work hours to not exceed 20 hrs. per week
Program will run for 18 weeks
BASIC FUNCTION The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. provides high-dosage tutoring for K through Grade 8 students in math and literacy to close learning gaps. Tutoring will be embedded in established networks of community-based organizations in high-need communities and Local Education Agencies (LEA). The New Jersey Tutoring Corps is seeking to hire an Instructional Coach to oversee Tutor performance and provide guidance to Tutors at our East Greenwich Twp School District.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop strong relationships with the site staff and community.
Ensure that Tutors are using all materials needed to help Scholars succeed.
Observe tutoring and provide constructive feedback to tutors.
Work closely with program staff and participate in bi-weekly meetings with other Coaches.
Apprise the program leadership team of issues immediately and help work to resolve them.
Work with Site Coordinators assigned to sites to review tutor performance and provide guidance as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in the field of education
Experience teaching
New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form)
Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS)
Past history of overseeing the work of others
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Undergo background check for I9 status to work in the United States, criminal history check (fingerprints) or provide fingerprint certificate if criminal history check is already in place
Reliable transportation to and from work sites.

Genuine desire to work with young children in a teaching capacity, building on foundational skills and closing learning gaps using formative and summative data and strong teaching pedagogy.

Employees must follow all local health and safety policies including any mask rules that must be followed while indoors, if applicable.
Some knowledge of the implementation of the Danielson Framework.
Demonstrated ability to excellent communication and written skills, particularly in providing feedback to others in a constructive manner.
