Instructional Coach/Site Coordinator dual- Franklin Township
Start date ASAP ; the program ends June 18.
Reports To: Program Director
Subordinate Staff: Tutors
BASIC FUNCTION
The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. provides high-dosage tutoring for pre-K through grade 8 students in math and literacy to close learning gaps. Tutoring will be embedded in established networks of community-based organizations in high-need communities during the school year. The New Jersey Tutoring Corps is seeking to hire Instructional Coaches to oversee tutor performance and technical logistics of the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works with the Program Manager to develop strong relationships with the site staff and community.
Ensures that tutors have the necessary materials needed to help scholars succeed.
Completes and submits digital records of Tutor and Scholar attendance, scholar rosters, and site concerns.
To provide and receive feedback to improve the performance of tutors and the overall program.
Works closely with program staff and participates in weekly coaching meetings with Tutors
Manages the Tutor's work schedules.
Apprises the Program Director of staff issues immediately and helps work to resolve them.
Review Tutor performance and provide guidance as needed.
Ensure that tutors are using all materials needed to help scholars succeed.
Observe tutoring sessions and provide constructive feedback to tutors.
Assist tutors with data-driven instruction using iReady.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree (Education field preferred but not required)
Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS)
Experience teaching
New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form)
Past history of overseeing the work of others
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Undergo background check for I9 status to work in the United States, criminal history check (fingerprints) or provide fingerprint certificate if criminal history check is already in place
Reliable transportation to and from work site
Employer Qualifications:
Employees must follow all local health and safety policies including any mask rules that must be followed while indoors, when applicable.
Some knowledge of the implementation of the Danielson Framework

Embedded school days tutoring program
Daily tutoring time from 8:50 am- 3:50 pm, Monday through Friday.
Work hours will not exceed 27 hours per week
