    About This Position

    We are seeking a Director of Wholesale to focus on the operational and strategic leadership of our wholesale national accounts. The ideal candidate must have current relationships with big box retailers to help our brand onboard these accounts. The candidate will be managing all activities related to sales and relationship growth with existing and prospective accounts including sales strategy development, meeting presentation creation, weekly or monthly sales report analysis, and tactical preparation related to vendor calls and trade shows. The Director of Wholesale will work collaboratively with our executive team to further expand our national/regional retail footprint, assist with online presence, and strengthen brand loyalty.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Develop clear sales strategy plans that will maximize the SKU listings across all organic platforms.

    · Build relationships within national and independent accounts across all departments to secure diverse business opportunities by opening the right accounts in a timely manner.

    Experience working with big box retailers such as Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, and other regional retail accounts. Familiar with household, kitchen, and home goods category is preferred.

    Maintaining a great relationship with secured accounts.

    Guides and recommends ideal procedures to executive team, it is important to have a strong idea of strategy.

    Evaluate, procure, and develop sales support systems.

    Monitor performance and provide support through frequent interactions with members of the sales team.

    Monitor KPIs and budgets to assess sales performance.

    Become the expert on assigned accounts. Understand the retailer’s needs, strategies, and objectives. Use this expertise to generate more business within each individual account.

    Utilize Category Management and Fact-Based Selling concepts in every account.

    Work with merchants and executive teams to identify and evaluate new product ideas.

    Target specific prospect accounts for conversion, execute sales action plans, understand account needs, develop relationships, and assist in securing new business.

    Create and deliver retailer specific presentations for PLR, Promotions, Mid-Season updates, etc.

    Provide Division VP with regular summaries of current total POS performance across assigned accounts and future sales forecast.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline required.

    Retail Field Sales: 5+ years (Required)

    5+ years’ experience leading a sales team

    Wholesale distribution experience is a plus.

    A minimum of 2-4 years’ work experience in Furniture industry is preferred.

    Experience working with syndicated data or category management preferred.

    Required Skills:

    Excellent analytical skills; ability to learn and use syndicated data to forecast trends and projections and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activity.

    Strong customer focus and relationship building with merchants.

    Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and customer organizations.

    Intermediate to advance PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, presentations, outlook).

    Approximately 10% travel required.

    Working on nights and weekends may be required during peak seasons.

    Bilingual languages preferred.

    Experiencing in handling with wholesale accounts preferred. (Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, etc. )
