ADAMS & ASSOCIATES/NEW HAMPSHIRE JOB CORPS IS LOOKING FOR A COMMITTED ADVANCED MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTOR TO COMPLEMENT OUR QUALIFIED WORKFORCE OF TRADE EDUCATORS. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE PASSIONATE FOR THE JOB WITH AN ABILITY TO REACH OUT TO STUDENTS AND CREATE A RELATIONSHIP OF MUTUAL TRUST. THEY WILL KNOW HOW TO ORGANIZE A CLASS AND MAKE LEARNING AN EASY AND MEANINGFUL PROCESS. THE GOAL IS TO HELP GAIN THE STUDENTS’ INTEREST IN EDUCATION AND BE THEIR DEDICATED ALLY IN THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of one-year related field experience or teaching required.
• Certification, licensing, or accredited in the state in which the Center is located.
• NIMS certification preferred.
• Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
• Well-organizational skills
• Creative and energetic

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Accommodations are available for those in need.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for providing students with industry recognized instruction and training in the Career Technical Training Center leading to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training.
• Provides training in a classroom and hands-on environment.
• Teaches students safety basics to include: Shop Maintenance, PPE, OSHA, SDS, and Hazardous Communication.
• Instructs students on such things as: CAD Drawing and Software, hands-on lessons on various pieces of machining equipment, and the basics of mathematics needed to create or adjust building materials.
• Hold students accountable to Center safety and program regulations including attendance, dress code, etc.
• Provide case notes on a regular basis in regards to student progress or concerns within the classroom.
• Work with and connect with local employers looking for students that have basic machining skills upon completion of the training program.
• Connect with the Work-Based Learning Advisor and Career Transition Specialist on Center to assist in the progression and placement of the students as they complete the program at Job Corps.
