This is a full-time Union job with benefits. While a CDL is required, this is primarily a product-handling job.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• IN THE WAREHOUSE:

  • Maintain warehouse product freshness and rotation, including staging the picking area and the proper disposal of out of code product
  • Unload shipments of beer from suppliers and properly store in warehouse
  • Properly repack product according to rigid supplier standards
  • Maintain proper records for product removed from inventory
  • Build palletized loads from computer-generated load sheets 
  • Make sure the loaded product meets supplier standards 
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of facilities 
  • Perform minor facilities and/or neon maintenance

   

• RELIEF ROUTE DRIVER OR OTHER DELIVERY ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED:

  • Make call-in deliveries and complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, cash and checks in appropriate time frame
  • Be able to fill in for or assist route drivers on an as-needed basis
  • Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner 
  • Collect payment as necessary when making deliveries

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Warehouse and/or distribution experience preferred 
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and wide temperature variation 
• Good oral and written communications skills 
• Work with minimal supervision; willingness to learn; flexibility and enthusiasm for job
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a CDL Class B (preferably Class A w/ air brakes)
• Must have a DOT Medical Card (unless grandfathered in pre-11/5/1985)
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Must be a US citizen or noncitizen eligible for employment according to the regulations stipulated by US Citizenship and Immigration Services
• Must be able to comply with all applicable Missouri and Federal alcohol sales statutes
• Must be able to lift, bend and twist from floor level to overhead with up to 40 pounds repeatedly all day, and push a 2-wheel cart with up to 220 pounds on it repeatedly all day, occasionally up an incline
• Ability to lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 165 pounds required 
• Able to climb in and out of a route truck up to 24 times per day

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay begins at an hourly rate of $14.19 ($737.90/wk), with opportunity to earn commission
• Shift is Mon-Fri 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
