    WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING TO FILL A POTENTIAL RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN POSITION AS LISTED BELOW:

    LOCATION: On-Site at Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Alderson located at One Glen Ray Road Alderson, WV 24910

    STATUS: Full-Time

    HOURS: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1)Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • 2)Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Radiology Technician services.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    The prospective contractor shall be responsible for:

    1. Perform routine Radiology and Mammography services to inmates at the institution as referred by BOP Health Services Staff.

    2. Maintain the radiology and mammography equipment through required services performed by contracting services.

    3. Independently perform all radiographic and mammographic procedures, i.e. chest, bone, skull, spine, knee, back etc…

    4. Will maintain confidentiality and privacy of medical information in the radiology department and medical conditions inmates and staff.

    5. Notify Clinical Director or physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen while patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional views, or exams can be ordered if needed.

    6. Will provide assistance to medical staff as duties assigned such as scanning of medical records, maintaining Radiology badges, monitoring sanitation in the Health services area, and assisting in Improving Organization Plan.

    7. Will follow BOP policy and procedures, AAAHC, ACA standards, JCAHO, and CDC standards.

    8. Explains appropriate instructions to inmates who will undergo radiology procedures.

    9. Maintain Mammography Accreditation and related standards.

    10.Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs and inform the HSA if repairs or calibrations or needed.

    11.The contractor will be responsible for ensuring there has been an inspection for defects performed twice per year for gloves, aprons, and shields and those inspections are signed off by the Clinical Director. The contractor will also ensure the HSA has been made aware that inspections were completed when indicated.

    12.The contractor will sign the Institution Contractors Log Located at the front entrance of the Institution; indicating the date of visit to the Institution, the time of arrival and departure and signature of time in and time out for any lunch breaks. This must be done for each visit.
