NEEDED: X-Ray TECH

LOCATION: 1030 Jefferson Ave, Memphis TN, 38104

HOURS: Shifts will vary. Call is required.

• Work hours (business hours): Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's or associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a specialized training.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
• Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
• Ability to move or lift patients.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• BLS: Must maintain BLS certification

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs radiographic examinations of the skull torso and extremities for routine physical examinations.
• Has the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and cross-sectional anatomy, recognizes unusual images, and determining proper positioning to best demonstrate areas of interest
• Performs radiographic exams at the bedside and in the operating rooms providing diagnostic x-rays to the surgeons and professional staff on patients that are unable to be x-rayed in the Radiology Service due to incapacity or surgical procedures, using portable x-ray units and mobile fluoroscopic units to achieve these exams.
• Upon request, operates the fluoroscopic unit in the cyst suite.
• Requires knowledge of image acquisition in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
