NEEDED: Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner
LOCATION: Health Service Department: 1640 Sky View Drive, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, normally between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Individuals providing mid-level provider services as a physician assistant under the contract award must:
Be a graduate from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Have successfully completed the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination.
Maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and re-certification.
Must possess proof of a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a physician assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Preferred qualifications and experience for all mid-level providers include: Three or more years of experience in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory/outpatient
Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
One year of experience providing mid-level provider services in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory/outpatient care, psychiatric care, and/or medical/surgical care.
Preferred: Three or more years of experience in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory/outpatient care, psychiatric care, and/or medical/surgical care.
Preferred: Experience in providing healthcare in a correctional setting
Preferred: Additional professional education and certifications such as advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), etc.
Must proof of current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
