    Job Title: Staff Accountant

    Reports To: Manager and Partners

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt while CPA in process; Exempt if CPA

    Department: Business Management

    Your Role: NKSFB, LLC continues to expand internally and we are hiring the next Staff Accountant for the Business Management department in Westwood. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a genuine desire to embrace a rewarding accounting career opportunity. In this position you will strategically collaborate with Partners, Managers, Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives. As a Staff Accountant, you will work in a motivated, friendly, team-oriented environment, and deliver on department activities, ensuring the overall fiscal policies, practices, and regulations meet compliance requirements. This position is based in the Westwood office.

    What will you do?

    • Prepare complex accounting reports and financial analysis for clients and Partners as needed, ensuring accurate and timeliness in the documentation.
    • Prepare cash flow projections and budgets for clients.
    • Maintain day-to-day general ledger transactions, including cash receipts.
    • Routinely perform accounts payable, account receivable, and account reconciliation.
    • Create and prepare journal entries.
    • Transition books from legacy accounting systems into current accounting system, AgilLink.
    • Perform thorough accounting analysis of general ledgers, financial statements, and similar financial records.
    • Conduct and review monthly financial statements. Analyze coding and backup to ensure accuracy of the entries.
    • Prepare and assist Partners and Managers with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
    • Other related general accounting duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field, and 2+ years of accounting experience; 4+ years of experience applicable in lieu of a degree
    • Experience with financial statement preparation and compilation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in the entertainment industry, and/or for high-net-worth clients
    • Experience working in a tax department, or on tax planning matters
    • Experience with AgilLink, Datafaction, QuickBooks or Peachtree
    • CFP and/or CPA

    What Do you Need to Succeed:

    • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Self-motivated with excellent organization skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
    • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Friendly and professional demeanor
    • Ability to work well with a team and pitch in when needed

    Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $90,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
