NOC Analyst – Remote (3rd Shift)
Location: Remote – United States Schedule: 3rd Shift (Schedule subject to change) Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen
We are seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join our team. This individual will be responsible for monitoring network devices, platforms, and services, while ensuring high availability and performance across environments. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor all devices, platforms, and services in the network environment.
Manage and coordinate NOC shift coverage to ensure continuous operations.
Provide training, direction, and leadership to NOC staff.
Maintain NOC process and procedure documentation.
Resolve incidents and service requests in alignment with SLAs.
Communicate effectively regarding service-impacting incidents.
Assist with service-related projects as needed.
Analyze LANs/WANs, isolate issues, and recommend hardware/network improvements.
Modify scripts and configurations to enhance performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve network/user issues.
Generate network resource and performance reports.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or 2 years of college-level study in related fields.
Network administrator certification preferred (as defined by State requirements).
OR 2 additional years of specialized experience may substitute for education.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a computer-related field.
Minimum 1 year of specialized experience in:
Data communications engineering
Network administration/management
Network hardware/software analysis
Equipment installation and maintenance
Computer systems administration
Technical Skills Required:
Monitoring Tools: Experience with SolarWinds Orion or similar NMS platforms.
Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, FDDI, WANs, routers, and CLI-based tools (e.g., PuTTY).
Authentication Systems: Cisco TACACS, Aruba ClearPass.
DNS: Understanding of DNS operation and implementation.
Directory Services: Microsoft Active Directory.
Protocols: SNMP, RMON.
Systems: Basic MS Office, SharePoint, Windows and other OS environments.
Service Desk Tools: Experience with systems such as Maximo or similar.
Certifications: Cisco CCNA (preferred).
Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work independently and multitask under pressure.
Comfortable troubleshooting over the phone and in high-stress scenarios.
Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
