General Description:

The NOC Tier 2 Engineer is responsible for resolving incidents escalated and providing constant updates to the customer.

Primary Job Functions:

Guarantee resolution to different Incidents escalated from NOC or from the customers.

Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, web-based tools and email to the customers.

Work with service providers, vendors and customers to drive issues to resolution.

Investigate and complete the reasons for outage (RFO) reports on all network outages.

Accept call overflows for the front-line NOC Tier 1.

Administer all network equipment, hardware and software upgrades.

Operate the core network having a strong background on routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, on technologies like MPLS

Perform switch, router and firewall activations for new and existing customers.

Automate network monitoring to provide a proactive approach to mitigate network issues.

Serve as the technical point of contact for the customer.

Mentor and train Tier 1 NOC Analysts.

Able to work on different Projects Customer oriented network functioning improvement.

Required Skills:

Strong written and verbal English communication

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Teamwork skills

Networking and analytical skills, Ethernet, TCP/IP routing, Network packet analysis tools use.

3-Years’ minimum working as Network engineer, Network support or Escalation engineer for LAN, WAN MPLS (VPNs L3, VPLS, MBGP, OSPF, ROUTE POLICY, DUAL STACK, IPV6, Wireless etc.)

Knowledge regarding different vendors (Palo Alto, Palo Alto, Aruba Silver Peak, Fortinet)

Security knowledge is a plus (ISE, NAC, Zscaler)

Education:

Engineering (graduate): Networking, Telecommunication, Telematic, Electrical, Electronic or related

Certification: CCNP or equivalent

CCNA

CISSP

AWS

CompTIA

VMware

Work Details:

Work Remote in Colombia

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST

Must participate in Rotation Calls and Weekends 24/7 including 365 days
