    Job Description

    As a NOCD Professional, you will help people with OCD learn how to feel better. Members will enroll with our therapy service via our intake team where they’ll be assigned a practitioner.  

    Practitioners will assist members through the process of:

    • Diagnosis:  clinical interview via video session to determine diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations
    • Therapy:  research-backed program that includes live video sessions and app messaging followed by as needed check-ins.

    Practitioners will use valuable previous clinical experience, good judgment, and our clinical guidelines to discern when to refer members to external resources. Practitioners will collaborate with our network of psychiatrists and therapists to help develop and reinforce treatment decisions as appropriate.

    Our practitioners are supported through: ongoing consultation with other team members; specialized clinical training with experienced OCD providers; information on the latest research advancements in the field; technical support and clinical protocols; process groups to support practitioner resilience; 1:1 mentorship to discuss complex cases; and an open, receptive environment to provide feedback.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Provide professional telehealth services via the NOCD platform commiserate with your education, license, experience and public health code (psychology, counseling, social work).  This may include, but is not limited to:
      • Biopsychosocial assessment and treatment planning using validated measures and clinical interviewing
      • Psychoeducation
      • Evidence-based psychotherapy
      • Referral,  consultation and coordination of care
    • Administrative Duties
      • Manage your caseload and schedule
      • Respond to members in a timely manner
      • Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation using the NOCD EHR system and custom forms
      • Consult with our sales, marketing, development and clinical teams as needed
    • Member and Professional Services
      • Perform assessment and psychotherapy services using our video platform 
      • Communicate directly with Members using the NOCD messaging platform a minimum of once daily, five days per week
      • Build a strong therapeutic relationship with and provide empathetic, compassionate support to Members 
      • Provide members with psychoeducation on OCD and related topics 
      • Advise Members in executing, adhering to, and maximizing the effectiveness of their ERP plan
      • Review Member progress using NOCD data
      • Uphold the ethical principles of your profession and the values of NOCD
      • Refer to and collaborate with external resources when clinically appropriate for the member
      • Abide by the NOCD Clinical Protocols and suggest improvements
    • Continuing Education and Support
      • Advance your own knowledge of evidence-supported treatments for OCD
      • Participate in NOCD support activities, such as consultation, training, and performance reviews
      • Provide the NOCD team with your feedback about your experience with NOCD and the Premium Service so we can learn from each other while providing a consistently high quality experience for our members and the NOCD team
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A Licensed Mental Health Professional
    • MA degree or higher from an accredited university in the behavioral and mental health field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology)
    • Full and unrestricted license in good standing to practice in your state
    • At least 6 months of relevant supervised experience with evidence-based therapies (e.g., ERP, CBT, ACT)
    • Knowledge and experience with treating OCD with ERP and/or ACT is preferable but not required
    • Organized, quick and enthusiastic learner, excellent communicator, receptive to feedback, good with time management
    • Comfortable and efficient with using technology to communicate
    • Have a confidential, private location to work remotely from with reliable internet access
    • Ambitious and ready to keep up with a competitive, goal-driven, start-up environment
