  • Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team. You will collaborate with the project manager and building team to complete various framing projects that accompany a basement finish. You must have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment. Responsibilities: • Reduce accidents and delays on construction sites by ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and reporting any problems to the project manager as soon as they arise • Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner • Recruit subcontractors and make sure they have all of the necessary permits • Assess subcontractor progress against timelines and performance targets to ensure that work is completed on schedule and to the highest possible quality • Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget Qualifications: • At least 2 years of previous framing or trim carpentry experience (required) • Proficiency with framing tools and equipment • Basic math skills • Ability to read and follow plans/blueprints • Measuring and planning • Knowledge of building code • Ability to lift/carry heavy pieces of material or structures • Use of saws and other power tools • Use of various hand tools • Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines • Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety • High school diploma (preferred) • Buildertrend experience (preferred) Expectations • Ability to recognize and manage one’s own behaviors, moods, and impulses — to create an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment within the team • Desire to grow and learn new skills within the industry • Capacity to lead and mentor with compassion and respect, while jumping in where needed with an attitude that no job is too small • A willingness to receive and give constructive criticism gracefully Compensation: $28 - $38 Hourly DOE
