Position Overview: The Carpenter / Handyman will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including cabinet installation, finish carpentry, finish plumbing, site preparation, HVAC installation, flooring installation, and more. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in various aspects of construction and finishing work. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with a broad range of construction skills who can seamlessly jump into a project with minimal training. Responsibilities: • Install custom cabinets, trim, and millwork in residential basement projects. • Perform finish carpentry tasks, including detailed woodwork, trim installation, and custom millwork. • Install and finish plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and related components. • Prepare and maintain job sites, ensuring they are clean, safe, and organized. • Perform HVAC installation tasks as needed. • Handle flooring preparation and installation, including luxury vinyl tile (LVT), tile, and other materials. • Perform paint touch-ups and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality project completion. • Address general punch list items and perform final project touches to meet client satisfaction. • Collaborate closely with project managers throughout the project to ensure seamless execution. • Demonstrate a willingness to jump in where needed to support the team and project goals. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to carpentry, plumbing, and other construction tasks. • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure that all work meets quality standards and project timelines. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly handled and stored. • Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, finish carpentry, finish plumbing, and general handyman work. • Proven experience in multiple facets of construction, including site preparation, HVAC installation, flooring installation, and finishing tasks. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic (Must be able to consistently work from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at various locations around the greater Fort Collins area). • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. • Ability to operate various power tools and other equipment. • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials as required. Compensation: $28 - $48 hourly
