JOB TITLE: Finance Manager, Part-time for a non-profit

LOCATION: Remote

COMP RANGE: 50,000/year for half to 3/4 time (depending on quarter)

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS: The Finance Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization, including financial analysis and planning, reporting, budgeting, and external audits. The Finance Manager is a critical part of ensuring that Nomi Network has financial sustainability to achieve its mission.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Master's degree or CPA desired
• At least 5-10 years experience with nonprofit finance
• Experience working with international entities is a plus

OBJECTIVE OUTCOMES:

• You will oversee accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely close at month-end.
• You will develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls.
• You will facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors and be responsible for implementing audit recommendations.
• You will conduct financial analyses to strengthen organizational efficiency and develop financial models for growth.
• You will create an annual operating budget and assist in creation of budgets for grant proposals.

CORE COMPETENCIES / HARD SKILLS:

• Experience with nonprofit bookkeeping and accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent Excel Skills
• Financial analysis and modeling
• Financial Reporting: income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, and cash flow.
• Strategic thinking
