  • Responsibilities

    Our company is Northern Blends Holding LLC and we are a franchisee of Smoothie King. We currently have three stores open in the Detroit market and plan to open seven more before the end of the year and another 40 in the next four years.

    With this type of growth we are looking to add to our team and are looking for a District Leader to help us grow successfully. The area covered by this District Leader will be Flint, Mt. Pleasant, Lansing and Portage so you must be willing to travel and some overnights will be required.

    The District Leader will eventually help coach 5-10 stores depending on locations and but in the immediate future will help open our next seven stores.

    TOP 5 JOB DUTIES: 

    1. Full Day Visits:  Complete detailed DL visit and provide feedback and coaching to help GM’s perform at their highest level of ability.

     

     2. Daily business review calls: Conduct DBR Calls and coach restaurants each day you are working to review results and review progress.  

     3. Schedule Checks: Check schedules and projections in every restaurant before they are posted to ensure all shifts are covered and restaurants have a solid plan to grow sales each week. 

     4. Staffing and Training: Ensure all restaurants are fully staffed and managers and teams are trained how to properly use NBSK and SK systems to run a great restaurant. Conduct one (1) DL REP quarterly per store 

     5. Accounting Controls: Check all weekly and period paperwork and inventories. Ensure all cash systems and accounting controls are in place and accurate.  

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Responsible for outstanding service & satisfied guests.  

    Each restaurant meets standards for speed of service, food safety and cleanliness and receives passing inspection grade.  

    Equipment is maintained and in excellent working condition.  

    Maintain a safe working environment.  

    Responsible to grow sales and meet expense and G&A budgets.

    Responsible to meet targeted food and labor variance and take appropriate action to improve results.  

    Responsible for recruiting and hiring management team members and ensuring all restaurants have proper staffing levels. 

    Work all shifts (breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night & weekends) each period 

    Set an example by maintaining an excellent working knowledge and high level of proficiency in SK restaurant operations 

    Responsible for training all management personnel and ensuring team members complete The Blend training as required.  

    Ensure budget spending is maintained and all invoices over $500 are signed and approved.  

    Personally, verify food and paper inventory in one store each period. Conduct a full inventory audit of all assigned restaurants biannually.  

    Supervise in accordance with NB values, characteristics and behaviors 

    Communicate effectively with all levels of management about plans, progress and problems 

    Successfully implement all marketing promotions 

    Participate in the development of company policies, standards, training and management development  

    Conduct a Drive-thru shop as you arrive at each unit providing feedback to the MOD and team on their results.
