NSG Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting department as a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records of our organization, and managing our accounts receivable process. You will work closely with the controller and other members of the accounting team to support the financial stability and success of our organization.

This position will be in-office (NOT remote)

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

55K-60K/year

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records of the organization, including recording financial transactions, and preparing journal entries.
• Manage the organization's accounts receivable process, including generating and sending invoices, tracking payments, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, and income statements.
• Collaborate with the controller to develop and maintain budgets, providing valuable insights and analysis to support financial decision-making.
• Help identify areas for financial improvement and implement effective strategies to optimize financial performance.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial activities.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation during internal and external audits.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel proficiently to streamline financial processes and enhance data analysis.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all financial and accounts receivable tasks.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve financial discrepancies or issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their application in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate data, create reports, and perform complex calculations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with customers regarding payment-related matters.
• NO experience working in accounting required; on the job training will be provided to a candidate with at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
