TITLE: Registered Nurse 

    SPECIALTY: Pediatric ICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

    FACILITY: Acute Care (Hospital)

    SHIFTS: 40 hour nights

    RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patient 
    • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
    • Monitor patient's vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
    • Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings, such as EKG tracings, O2 stats, CVP/arterial line waveforms, if applicable, and report any observed changes
    • Change dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs (both central venous & arterial)
    • Administer infusion therapy, including: IV fluids, antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, electrolytes
    • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators
    • Prepare and administer and record prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • One year RN acute care experience required
    • Active Applicable State Licensure
    • American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS
