Job Description

Access Control Specialist's (ACS) will perform personnel and vehicle access control and inspections for secured areas on a federal government construction project in St. Louis, Missouri.

• Verify credentials of personnel requesting access to secure areas.
• Deny entrance of prohibited materials and other items as specified by the Site Security Manager (SSM) or designee.
• Conduct random inspections of secured areas for unapproved personnel and material items. 
• Various other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess an active U.S. Government Secret (S) clearance.
• Must have at least one (1) year of security experience.
• Must be able to work a consistent full time or part-time guard schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Stand for 8 hours (with breaks).
• Work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold.
• Bend forward at the waist and knees.
• Walk up to one half mile across uneven surfaces of a construction site.
• Lift up to 20 pounds.
• Visually inspect site personnel for appropriate credentials.
• Visually and physically inspect bags, vehicles, and various containers.
