    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:  The Virtual Assistant is a key member of the NYAPRS team and provides Technical and Administrative Support for our work with the National Association of Peer Supporters (N.A.P.S.).

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:  

    Provide technical support to our N.A.P.S content expert and 

    ·      Works with our N.A.P.S. content expert to send regular communication to the listserv and to the membership using Mailchimp; including information relevant to the peer support workforce (resources, announcements).

    ·      Provides technical and administrative support for the N.A.P.S. conference, webinars, affinity groups, and online forums. 

    ·      Works with our N.A.P.S. content expert to post and publish newsletters, articles, and social media content.

    PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT BY:

    • Creating and publishing forms and processed using JotForm
    • Utilize Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace products 
    • Communicate effectively via email (gmail), Slack, Google Voice Text and Calls, and other venues as needed
    •  Supporting maintenance of the website, and assisting with member requests (these skills can be taught)
    • Utilize a project management tool to track assignments and progress (Asana, Monday.com, etc.)
    • Support Zoom based live webinars

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Proven ability in working with Gmail, Google Docs, JotForm, MailChimp, Zoom, social media, Email Calendar Management, and Canva.
    • Understanding of internet and data security.
    • Facility with the following programs: Asana, Slack, Discord, social media Calendars, LinkTree (or alternative), Whova, and Google Voice.
    • Ability to learn HubSpot, Zapier, and WordPress a plus.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Associates Degree required; Bachelors preferred. Work experience may be substituted for educational degrees.
    • Lived experience with a mental health system preferred.
