    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    As a Healthcare Provider Data Analyst in the Population Health - Information Exchange & Interoperability practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today’s ever-changing healthcare landscape. NYSTEC is considered a trusted program advisor, providing subject matter expertise, and connecting the dots for our clients. Over the last five years, NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems.

    Serving as a Healthcare Provider Data Analyst, you will be supporting healthcare technology initiatives for our clients, partners and stakeholders by providing analytical expertise to evaluate provider data across New York State. 

    ABOUT YOU:

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience in health informatics
    • Experience writing ad hoc queries in SQL
    • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
    • Proficiency with translating complex analytic ideas into actionable insights for varied levels of audience.
    • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel

    Preferred/Desired Qualifications

    • Experience using SAS
    • Experience using provider data and/or payer data to inform decision making
    • Experience with data quality analysis
    • Master’s degree in health informatics, public health, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline

    Education and Experience

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
