Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Registration/Med-Park Ridge - Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the daily operations of the Family Health Center sites including patient flow in all areas registration, appointment scheduling encounters billing deposits and schedules of clerical staff. S/he will work directly with medical and dental staff to ensure appropriate patient processing and resolution of problems and participate in the site senior staff meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supervises patient flow in all areas and resolves problem as necessary acts as patient ombudsman and resolve patient concerns and grievances in accordance with health center policies and procedures.
* Attends Registration Supervisor Meetings
* Mentors clerical staff ensures their competencies and serves as a role model
* Works with Site Leadership to ensure smooth patient flow and satisfactory experience
* Ensure all registered patients are properly dispositioned at the end of each shift
* Monitors and reports next available NV and RV appointments
* Monitors eCW assigned areas such as recall, referral bins, scanning and assures expeditious dispositioning
* Able to search for a specific patient using but not limited to the following information: medical record number patient name and social security number.
* Able to identify data entry errors in the assignment of, but not limited to patient type date of service PCP errors visit type errors service-diagnosis conflict and account numbers and use available resources to verify the correct information.
* Corrects and updates information in the EMR system or assigns to appropriate staff member.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
* Complies with all Safety and Infection Control standards and ensure JCAHO compliance.
* Interacts with the appropriate departments at Lutheran Medical Center and other Network Sites as necessary.
* Compiles monthly health center statistics for senior staff review.
* Ensures that the follow up of failed appointments appointment scheduling and over booking problems are resolved on a daily basis.
* Responsible for working with Site Director and other key members at the site to improve patient flow address patient complaints/concerns and fix scheduling issues.
* Responsible for monthly Patient Service Associate schedules and arranging coverage as necessary.
* Responsible for registration and training of Patient Service Associates in registration and financial regulations including self-pay/charity care OB financial services Cancer Support Program FPBP and other financial services
* Supervises appointment scheduling and all front desk staff related programs.
* Orders supplies as necessary for all registration and clerical processes through Administrative Assistant.
* Supervises all billing activity, including ensuring the accuracy of all encounters daily billing reports daily deposits and other health insurance and managed care processing. Provides confidential patient financial counseling for patients as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree, with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, interact with, and maintain functional relationships with personnel at all levels within and outside of the organization.
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook).
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $66,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
