Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Engineering (Night Shift on Wednesday and Thursday) - Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate Position has supervisory responsibility over daily operations, projects and maintenance staff. The Supervisor will have the responsibility for the proper operation of all hospital plant equipment, and in the absence of senior management will assume responsibility for departmental operations. Duties include the monitoring of office computerized systems, teaching and training different trades, the inspection and upkeep of all rooms and HVAC, boilers, A/C units, and alarms.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily operations and maintenance staff
* Perform other related duties as required
* Capable to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics
* Inspection and upkeep of all mechanical rooms
* Monitor and keeps records of statement of conditions
* Supervise construction and painting projects
* Teaching and training different trades
* Monitor, service and repair emergency generators and Co-Gen
* Monitor, service and repair high and low pressure boilers
* Monitor and service fire alarm systems, and medical gases
* Monitor office computerized systems, HVAC, boilers, A/C units, alarms etc.
* Distribution of work orders and check for completion
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Licenses: COQ Refrigeration - Cert
Preferred Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,655.84 - $93,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
