    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Refrigeration Mech Jr. Grade - Brooklyn.

    In this role, the successful candidate Excellent knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration maintain electrical electronic pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. Assist HVAC supervisor in duties and in same capacity when absent. Responsible to have working areas and shops clean and safe.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Knowledge of controls systems electronic pneumatic etc.
    * Maintain and control secondary system (radiant panels)
    * Understand and operate tracer Zummit control system
    * Monitor filter banks and replaced as needed
    * Maintain and repair infection control equipment (exhaust fans negative pressure equipment etc.)
    * Knowledge of boilers operations and repairs
    * Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment (evaporator compressors condensers etc.)
    * Must be able to weld braze and soldering piping
    * Trouble shoot and repair refrigerant leaks
    * Capable of reading blue prints drawing and diagrams
    * Operate and maintain cooling towers
    * Maintain and operate chillers and absorber
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required. Trade School Graduate Preferred.
    2-5 years' experience as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic, hospital experience preferred.
    NYC Fire Department refrigeration machine operators license required, US EPA CFC refrigerant handling certificate.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,877.94 - $71,572.19 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
