Vanguard Surgery Center , is seeking a motivated full time PACU RN to join our team. Vanguard Surgery Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

• Manage patients’ admission processes to preoperative department
• Assess the status of patients’ health in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristband
• Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order
• Determine the surgeon and procedure being carried out
• Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
• Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff

Required Skills

• Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.
• Must have at least 2-5 years' previous experience in PACU.
• Current American Heart BLS certification.
