    Position Summary:

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Manager.

    Reporting into the Director of Research Enterprise Operations and Administration, the Business Manager will manage and support various projects spanning financial, administration and operational areas within the Research Mission and the Office of Science and Research (OSR). The Business Manager will support the Director in financial and strategic planning activities across the Research Enterprise that will include quality improvement initiatives, as well as preparation of annual financial plans for OSR.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provides leadership and direction related to finance operations functions
    • Manages day-to-day processing of accounts payables, internal cost allocations and ensures financial obligations are met timely
    • Ensures high standard expense reviews, documentation compliance with contract terms and industry best practices
    • Monitors monthly budget performance and produces variance analysis for management review
    • Compiles and analyzes financial information for ad hoc management requests or routine reviews. Performs routine analysis on the financial performance of OSR and the Research Mission.
    • Works closely with others within the department and organization to implement process and systems enhancements to improve operational efficiencies and reporting
    • Assists in the preparation of the divisions annual operating budget. Coordinates with OSR leaders, unit operations and project managers on spending levels and anticipated expenses.
    • Oversees the reconciliation of monthly financial reports; reviews monthly spending levels

    Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

    Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, related degree, or equivalent in education and experience.
    • 3-5 years related experience in business management or related field.
    • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $122,904.39 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
