    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor-Out Patient Billing.

    In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the direct supervision of applicable PFS staff and for ensuring quality outcomes. Duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor include, but are not limited to: (1) personnel management, (2) total account resolution from cashiering, registration, charge capture and billing to account follow-up, (3) ensuring optimal customer relations, (4) maximizing cash collection, (5) ensuring quality cash services

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for operations management of the Revenue Cycle Operations department, which includes billing, customer service and follow-up with insurance companies.
    • Ensures cash optimization and accounts receivable reduction activity is functioning to fullest capability.
    • Supervises the daily operations of the Outpatient Patient Financial Services.
    • Utilizes previous experience in adjudication of bills, and accounts receivable functions. Resolves billing and collections issues.
    • Supervises billing and collection staff.
    • Handles resubmissions of Workers' Comp & NoFault denials and ensures that department is maximizing reimbursement to efficiently lower A/Rand speed up revenue cycle.
    • Performs data mining and in-depth accounts receivable analysis."
    • Understands and adheres to key performance indicators of RCO Teams.
    • Staff training, development and coaching, with the end goal of developing staff forexcellent performance and retention.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and/or a minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in a in a professional billing environment or other health care environment required. Requires prior working experience on personal computers and various office equipment. Demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills; exercise good judgment in the handling of issues; possess strong analytical skills; and demonstrate a professional approach to dealing with patients and staff. Possess familiarity with on-line financial systems and basic desktop publishing capabilities. Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to effectively problem solve and make independent decisions

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelors degree in business administration or healthcare administration or related field. Over three years of demonstrated responsible experience in the managerial role of a Revenue Cycle Operations department. Supervisory experience preferred.
