POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Office Associate. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for verifying eligibility, determining patient's insurance coverage as well pre-certify/pre-authorize inpatient and outpatient services. Verifies coverage levels and works with individuals to educate them on their benefits information. Provides clear understanding and expectation of financial obligations. Assumes financial risk of the organization by insuring services are pre-certified and pre-authorized prior to rendering services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a High School or GED required. Strong knowledge of front end hospital registration and insurance verification and /or practice operations a must. 1-2 years of experience in patient access/patient accounts or in related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Focused, task oriented
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree preferred. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Strong knowledge of hospital registration and medical insurance Soarian and/ or EPIC experience preferred
