    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager - Strategy Planning & Business Development.

    In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for the successful planning and execution of multiple large-scale projects within the scope, quality, time and resource constraints specified by the internal stakeholders at NYU Langone. This roles primarily focus will be to lead strategic processes, initiatives, and analyses for the Family Health Centers at NYU (FHC), a large Federally Qualified Health Center network. You will be expected to work closely with and confidently present to senior leadership, foster high-trust executive relationships, and understand the key business/operational elements that drive project and institutional success. As a Senior Manager, you will also be expected to serve as an intentional leader and/or direct manager of junior members of the team. Essential to your success will be your ability to manage one or multiple project teams to advance large scope, high complexity projects by ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and specified requirements are met to the satisfaction of our stakeholders.

    Job Responsibilities:

      * Managing multiple projects, including development and maintenance of project plans, leading and facilitating work teams, data analysis, understanding the issues surrounding a project, and communication and synthesis of ideas to wide variety of audiences
      * Ensuring adherence to best-practice project methodology standards and procedures, including all documentation requirements
      * Reviewing business requirements and conducting necessary planning for short- and long-term business objectives; may also provide analytical support to other team members and internal client groups to define or translate requirements
      * Developing applicable process and outcome metrics to measure project success
      * Exercising discretion and independent judgment in evaluating options and approaches to analyses or project management, including possible courses of conduct, and acting or making a decision after the various possibilities have been considered
      * Completing status reports and presenting deliverables for project milestones to senior management
      * Bringing issues to resolution and escalating issues or concerns to the Project Sponsor and/or key constituents
      * Acting decisively, with a high-degree of ownership of decision-making within projects
      * Exercising discretion and independent judgement, as appropriate. Demonstrates a clear understanding of when best to escalate issues to departmental leadership, creating an appropriate sense of urgency
      * Making good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
      * Ability to main composure and critical thinking across highly complex projects
      * Synthesizing complex information to communicate project deliverables and recommendations to senior management
      * Recognizing the technical, business, and operational impacts of major decisions, and providing analyses, consultation, and/or subject-matter expertise as decision support to senior leadership and internal clients
      * Effectively communicating and developing a professional level of cooperation across the organization; determining the best approach to drive project success through formal channels and informal networks
      * Demonstrates a high degree of customer focus; adept at anticipating the needs of key clients and taking a proactive approach to relationship/project management;
      * Maintaining the SPBD departmental culture by acting as a role model for team members through positive attitude, willingness to work at all levels, and commitment to the team 
      * Indirectly managing staff members including, but not limited to: sourcing work, clearly and comfortably delegating both routine and important tasks and decisions, communicating departmental policies/messaging, and managing performance and goals
      * Empowering others with the authority and support needed to take independent ownership and action to drive project success
      * Providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior staff, both formally or informally
      * Recommending and facilitating developmental activities and assignments that make substantial contributions to the growth of key successors and potential future leaders
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a A minimum of 7+ years of relevant progressive experience in project management working in a Strategy, Business Development, and/or consulting capacity.
    Bachelor's Degree Required.
    Complete understanding of a project life cycle methodology, strong judgment, and excellent project management skills.
    Strong analytical skills, the ability to develop and communicate analytical approaches, and the ability to delegate and oversee the analytical work of others.
    The ability to proficiently use project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
    Effective problem solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution.
    Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.
    The ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action, accounting for current and future needs.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    A graduate degree, preferably in health care administration, business administration, public health, or the equivalent years of experience, is preferred.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,479.19 - $124,800.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
